Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is for moms who want to improve their bowel and bladder health and become more confident in their pelvic floor.

What will you learn?

After this workshop, you will learn how changes in the pelvic floor impact bowel and bladder function from conception through postpartum (and beyond).  Specifically, we cover the:

  • Anatomy and physiology of the pelvic floor as it relates to peeing and pooping
  • Impact of pregnancy and birth on your bowel and bladder function, including issues such as incontinence, constipation, pain and pelvic organ prolapse
  • Techniques to improve awareness and control of your pelvic floor control, contracting and relaxing those 'downstairs' muscles
  • Behavior and lifestyle modifications to improve bladder and bowel function
  • Practical tips and advice for managing bladder and bowel issues during daily activities, such as exercising, lifting, and caring for your newborn
  • Answers to your questions about the pee, poop and pelvic floor during pregnancy, birth and postpartum

What should you bring?

Wear comfortable clothes you can move in and bring a yoga mat (if you have one). Please consider having little ones stay at home, if possible. This way you can fully engage in the workshop and get the most benefit from the valuable information and activities we have planned. Give yourself the gift of undivided attention.
